what have you done
with your body
to make it twist
around my heart
there are patches
of velvet
and lace
and skin
and something softer
than i’ve ever felt
i can’t help
but be pulled
below the surface
yours
and mine
there are so many things
i wanted to say
like maybe this isn’t a good idea
but we’ve gone past all that
as the canyon
at sunset
sinks into
the sea
I like all of the textures of this, this is style. Your poems never disappoint: they are very free and rough. The first four lines are my favorite.
